Lyoness Films is an independent television production company specialising in documentary films and digital content.

Creative Director Miriam Lyons has over ten years experience in broadcast, commercial and charitable productions in the UK and abroad.

An award-winning producer, she is quick to identify a strong story and skilled in directing natural performances from non-actors.

Miriam’s directorial debut came in 2005 with Mish Kids for Channel 4. A series of short documentaries about the identity crises of religious teenagers, it won Pick of the Day in The Guardian.

Three years later, she was named one of Broadcast’s Hot Shot Directors.

In 2010, she directed a unique television event The People Speak for History which received four out of five stars in Time Out and was co-produced and co-directed by Colin Firth.


Miriam also creates documentary-style digital content.

In 2013, she cast and produced a cinema commercial with CHI & Partners. Bad Press for the Prince’s Trust won nine prestigious awards, including Silvers at Cannes and the British Arrows.
